About M1016
M1016 takes a public health approach to preventing sexual violence against women by looking beyond individual awareness to the cultural, environmental, and systemic conditions that allow violence to take happen.
Through education, advocacy, empowerment-based programming, and environmental awareness, we work to strengthen the factors that keep women safe, raise community awareness, and build environments where safety and dignity are the norm. At its core, M1016 rests on a single belief: prevention begins long before harm occurs.

Why M1016 Matters
Prevention is about more than responding after harm has been done. It is about increasing awareness, strengthening agency, improving the environments people live in, and building cultures rooted in safety, dignity, and accountability.
We believe women should be able to move through the world with confidence, discernment, and strength — without sacrificing their identity or their humanity. M1016 exists to make that possible, and community involvement is essential to getting there.
